About
CommonHope is a ministry of Metrolina Baptist Association
CommonHope is a center and collaborative network designed to mobilize NC Baptist churches first in Greater CLT and then in other parts of the state to serve pressing needs, share the gospel, connect immigrants to first language/international churches, or start new church plants. By offering both a central mobilization center and a collaborative network, CommonHope stands as a beacon of unity and action for NC Baptists in greater CLT and North Carolina.

Learning a new language can be difficult and frustrating. Join an ESL class to improve your English proficiency and help facilitate successful integration into your new surroundings. You'll gain practical language skills essential for daily interactions while also learning about local customs and culture, which will help you build meaningful relationships and navigate your community confidently.
If you're finding it challenging to meet your nutritional needs, know that there are friends in the community who are ready to assist. Common Hope food banks are staffed by caring volunteers who are eager to help you feel welcomed and who are ready to assist you as you settle into your new environment.
When you are adjusting to a new country, it can be difficult to find affordable clothing. CommonHope partners with various local clothes closets, which make clothing for all ages, from children to adults, available at no cost. These closets are filled with contributions from neighbors who are eager to support you and your family. Whether you need everyday wear, school, or work outfits, you can access various clothing options.
Adjusting to a new country can be difficult for children. Register your child in our free soccer camp designed specifically for the children of immigrants and refugees. Registration is easy, and there is no cost to attend the camp. The camp is run by experienced, fun-loving adults committed to helping your child have lots of fun!
CommonHope is dedicated to supporting immigrants and refugees as they navigate their new lives through a variety of community classes specifically tailored for adults. Our programs are designed to address practical needs such as legal services and job placement and provide essential knowledge that will help you thrive in your new environment. This program facilitates a meaningful cultural exchange, allowing newcomers to immerse themselves in the local customs and traditions while providing a friendly, supportive relationship with an American family. As part of this program, you'll have the opportunity to learn about American culture firsthand, receive guidance on navigating your new surroundings, and build lasting friendships.
